I have hobbies/interests/& likes that involve anything arts & crafts and imagery wise such as Graphics, Photography, Reading, and Writing. As well as many other hobbies/interests/& likes such as Camping, Fishing, Video Gaming, Thrifting, Cooking, Listening to music and finding new music, Binge watching movies and shows, Greek Mythology, History, Astrology, Paranormal & Extraterrestrial things, and Mediumship. I can think of more but these are the ones I am involved with most often.

How does someone like me wind up in this business?

I guess you could say my love for arts & crafts played a part in it just based off of my hobbies. But let me take you all back to my past to get a better understanding of the exact moment I fell in love with it and when it became a passion of mine to continue to pursue.

When I was 12, My family and I had moved from South Carolina to Texas to a small town where everyone knew everyone and the graduating senior classes were around 30 students. I quickly became friends with several of my neighbors. One day, my friends were talking about the upcoming homecoming and what their homecoming mums were going to look like. They had asked me if I wanted to tag along to go shopping with them for my mum. I had NO IDEA what they were talking about! They were surprised I had never heard of it but excitedly explained the tradition and took me to look at the years of previous mums hung up on their walls. We looked through the ribbons to see who their date was that year, the sports they had played that year, and the trinkets that were hung on them. I was very excited to make one for myself! My friends and I ended up staying up all night, for days, creating this item for ourselves that showcased our personalities, styles, artistic abilities and what all we did that year. The joy we shared making them together and the memories we had just created together while making them, made me fall in love with it. The mums were simple, but those simple mums, became a trophy of our joy and memories that were displayed on our walls for years.

I continued to make mums with my friends every year after, and had other friends and family paying me to make their mums for them. Their faces and reactions upon receiving their mums was a defining moment in my life and when I realized that I had a real passion for making homecoming mums. Getting to share that same joy with them that I had with my friends making my own first mum. In my junior & senior of high school I took Floral design to learn more techniques on making mums. After High school, I continued to make and sell homecoming mums through word of mouth from friends and family, all while attending College for cosmetology. In June of 2015, I graduated from college with my degree in cosmetology and made the leap to start officially selling my homecoming mums online and to the public, rather than just by word of mouth. In Sept. of 2015, I became a member of Mums Inc. Homecoming Mum Professionals. I have been a proud member of Mums Inc. ever since.
